Why should I trade in my bike with Evans Cycles?
There are many good reasons to trade in your old bike. It'll save you money and encourage you to get out riding more – not to mention giving you a shiny new trinket to ogle over with pride and show off to your mates. And if you are going to take the trade-in plunge, Evans Cycles is one of the best places to go.
As one of the UK’s biggest names in bike retail, Evans Cycles stocks a huge range, from great value all-rounders such as the brilliant Pinnacle Dolomite 3 to high-end endurance racers like the BMC Roadmachine RM01, or the fast, versatile disc-brake equipped Cannondale CAAD12.
So you’re sure to find something you’ll like – whether you’re buying in store or online from evanscycles.com.
And even better, the Evans Cycles Trade In scheme means you can swap your old ride for a hefty discount of up to £250 off the price of your new bike!
My old bike is in a bit of a state, does that matter?
No – Evans Cycles will take any bike, whatever its condition, even if it’s missing a wheel!
And it doesn’t matter what type of bike it is either – if you want to swap your battered BMX or your mum’s old Raleigh Shopper for a swanky new carbon road bike, that’s no problem at all.
Although ask your mum first, eh?
How easy is it to trade in?
Just take your old bike along to any branch of Evans Cycles and they’ll take it off your hands in return for up to £250 off any new bike.
You can even do it online if you prefer – just find the bike you like on evanscycles.com, add it to your shopping basket, enter the trade-in code, then select ‘Click and Collect’ as the delivery option.
Then take your bike to the store with your ID, and you’ll soon be riding away with a shiny new set of wheels and a huge grin on your face!
What if it turns out my new bike isn't right for me – am I stuck with it?
Like any other bike you buy from Evans Cycles, it comes with the Right Bike Guarantee. So, if you’re unhappy with your new bike for any reason, you can exchange it for something more suitable within 30 days of purchase.
And if you haven’t ridden it yet, that exchange period extends to 90 days.
So, what happens to my old bike once I've traded it in?
Once it has been refurbished, your bike will be donated to Hospice UK to help their work supporting people with life-limiting and terminal conditions.
As Emily Lever, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Hospice UK says, ‘This fantastic partnership with Evans Cycles and Recycle Your Cycle provides local hospices with the perfect opportunity to transform unwanted bikes into vital funds to support hospice care.
‘Last year 1,500 bikes were donated and we would love to do better in 2017. Each donated bike will enable hospices where you live and work to provide end-of-life care to patients and their families.’
With over 200 hospices and running costs of over £9,000 per day per hospice, every penny counts. And if that’s not a great reason to treat yourself to a new bike, we don’t know what is!
