Dylan Groenewegen took the opening stage of the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire with a powerful sprint, but the biggest talking point was the huge crash just a few riders behind the day's winner.
Many riders went down and not all will be able to start stage two as a result of their injuries.
A fair few bikes fell victim to the impact too, and a number of riders were forced to walk the final 100 metres carrying their broken machines.

As a result of the stage win, Groenewegen will start stage two in the leader's jersey but he is not expected to finish the final stage on Sunday still in possession of it.
Saturday sees the women's race and stage two of the men's 2017 Tour de Yorkshire.
Stage two could end in a sprint again, but stage three is backloaded with testing climbs that will suit a much punchier rider.
