After another successful year, the ballot registration for the 2018 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 has opened. Taking place over the weekend of 27-29 July, the 100-mile sportive that finishes on the Mall will take place on Sunday 29 July.
With 100,000 riders taking part across seven events this year, the Prudential RideLondon is now the world's biggest festival of cycling. In the first five years of the event, 100,000 riders have completed the 100-mile closed road sportive.
Entry for the sportive will be £69, the same as this year's cost, with the ballot closing after 80,000 registrations or on Friday 5th of January. Online registration for the RideLondon-Surrey 46 will open in 2018.
Alternatively, entry to the RideLondon-Surrey 100 can be obtained via a charity. With charity holding reserved places, a place can be acquired in return for fundraising.
Event Director Hugh Brasher applauded the success of the event and its growth to being the biggest sportive worldwide.
'The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 is now the most popular sportive in the world with more people applying to ride this event than any other ride on the international calendar.' he said.
'More than 100,000 riders have crossed the famous finish line on The Mall in the first five years of the event, raising tens of millions of pounds for charity on the way.'
