Fans of the animated TV series will have to be quick to grab one of 50 frames

The Simpsons is the biggest animated TV series of all time. I haven't got the facts to back that up but it just simply is. Its 29 seasons and 29 years proves that it has quite the fanbase and chances are some of those are also road cyclists.

So for those that fall into both camps, you will probably be interested in State Bicycle Co's latest collaboration with the yellow cartoon characters of Springfield, USA.

After the success of their first collaboration that saw a fixed-gear bike, kit and saddle amongst more, State Bicycle has released a limited edition Donut Frame.

With just 50 being produced, the State has specially painted its Undefeated model in a glossy black finish with pink decals. To give it that Simpsons feel, the fork has been decorated with the sprinkles and icing of a doughnut while the seat tube has Homer Simpson eating.

The frame is a lightweight 7005 double butted aluminium with carbon fork.

Naturally, being quintessentially American in all ways, this State Bicycle x The Simpsons collaboration would work best with a full SRAM groupset and Zipp wheels for an extra red, white and blue feel.

For State Bicycle co-founder Mehdi Farsi, the decisions to use doughnuts as the inspiration for this frame was an easy one.

'Doughnuts are hands down the favourite pre/post ride snack of every cyclist I know,' Farsi said. 'It made sense to use the iconic doughnut from The Simpsons to do this ultra-limited release.'

The frame alone will cost $579 (£415 approx) which when considered how limited the frame will be, is quite the bargain.
