Pearl Izumi is launching an ambassador programme, the Pearl Izumi Champion Team, which will be comprised of both road cyclists and mountain bikers from the UK, who will represent the brand at events and - of course - wear bundles of Pearl Izumi kit in their roles as ambassadors.
'Potential Champions will be devotees of cycling (road or mountain bike) dedicated to inspiring others to try cycling,' say Pearl Izumi. 'They'll be willing to challenge themselves out on the road or trail and have a desire to grow the sport in the UK through their local community and social media.'
Don't be put off if you're not an elite rider though, as the team will be will consist of cyclists from different abilities, backgrounds, shapes and sizes. As ambassadors they will be given exclusive access to races, events and expert help as well as receive a stash of bespoke-designed free kit.

'We want to find the lynchpins of cycling communities big and small to help inspire others to get on the saddle. The programme will be 10 months long, starting in February 2017. Applications will be selected in December 2016.
