Rotor has announced that it will become title sponsor of the WNT-Rotor women's pro cycling team for 2018 with the view of developing the Spanish company's products with the team.
The squad will be the only UCI-registered team to be fully-equipped with Rotor's Uno groupset, complete with its hydraulic-actuated shifting and braking.
The partnership between the team and Rotor goes back to 2014 and this latest deal will see the women's elite team become key in the development of future Rotor products acting as a test team for future innovations.
With the Rotor Uno groupset set to be fitted as standard on the Orbea OMR road bikes used by the British team, the riders will also have access the Rotor 2INpower power meter and Q-rings.
Rotor CEO Jose Manuel Banqueri spoke of the company's excitement to develop products with the WNT team.
'We’re extremely proud to be associated with WNT-Rotor Pro Cycling team. They are pioneers in women’s professional cycling and we look forward to working together in both product development and competition in the coming season,' he said.
Despite the team losing Katie Archibald for the 2018 season, WNT-Rotor will have Hayley Simmonds, who will be looking to regain her national time trial jersey after failing to take her third consecutive title this year.
